The story

Korketrekkeren, the Corkscrew, is Oslo's toboggan hill below Frognerseteren. Its older road-based luge course hosted the 1937 European Luge Championships and, in 1955, the first FIL World Luge Championships. It was a separate course from the temporary bob track built nearby for the 1952 Olympics.

  • It hosted the first FIL World Luge Championships, in 1955.

Today

A municipal toboggan run still operates on the hill, and sledders ride back up on the metro.
