The story

Bad Aussee had a short luge course in the Styrian Salzkammergut. It hosted Austrian championship racing in 1962 and 1965, with Helene Thurner winning the women’s title in both years. The course also held the 1962 junior European Championships. Those events brought national and international competition to the spa town during the early years of its recorded track history.
