The story

Arosa had two distinct bob and luge courses. The earlier Rüti run followed the road down to Litzirüti, while the later course led from Prätschli towards the Obersee. The railway helped carry sleds and building material for the road course. The Prätschli–Obersee run served the resort through the war years, and its bends were built with ice blocks cut from the frozen lake.

  • Ice blocks cut from the Obersee were used to build the bends of the Prätschli–Obersee run.

Today

The old start house of the Rüti run still stands at the edge of the road, saved in the mid-1990s.
