The story

Tatranská Lomnica, in the High Tatras, had a bob run from 1909, designed by the forestry engineer Zenon Szántó. A timber luge run was built partly on the old route between 1977 and 1980 and was dismantled after 1989 for lack of money. Racing bobs from the historic track are kept in the local ski museum; the modern Tatrabob coaster, opened in 2004, is a separate attraction.

  • The ski museum keeps racing bobs from the historic track.

Today

The timber luge run was dismantled after 1989; the ski museum keeps racing bobs from the old track.
