Romania's bobsleigh and luge track at Sinaia, in the Bucegi Mountains, was built between 1974 and 1976 and hosted the junior European bobsleigh championships in 1976. The 1978 European luge championships had to be cancelled for lack of snow. From 1990 to 2000 the top start was judged unsafe, so runs began at curve 5. The last national races were held in the 2005–06 winter, and Romanian teams have competed abroad since.
- From 1990 to 2000 only the course below curve 5 was used.
- The 1978 European luge championships were cancelled because there was no snow.
Today
The track is completely derelict, overgrown with trees, moss and creepers.
