The story

Oybin built a concrete luge track on the Hochwald slopes in East Germany to replace an older course that crossed a road. A first section opened in January 1968, and racing on the completed 800 m course began in March 1971. Volunteers helped build the run. After it fell into disuse, the municipality approved its demolition in 1994.

Today

Almost nothing remains of the demolished course.
