The story

Olang built this luge track for the 1971 World Luge Championships. It was an engineered track iced naturally and never refrigerated. European Championships followed in 1975, 1980 and 1984, and it stayed in use into the late 1980s. After years idle it was taken down in 1998–99 and rebuilt on the old route as the Panorama natural luge track.

  • It hosted the 1971 World Luge Championships.
  • Its successor on the same route hosted the 2000 natural-track World Championships.
  • The old start building is still in use on the new track.

Today

The Panorama natural luge track runs on the old route, reusing the old start building, while the former finish house serves as a store.
